We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that our long-standing Trustee, Ian Bauckham, has been knighted for his significant contributions to education.

Sir Ian, who already holds a CBE, joined Sabre’s Board of Trustees in 2010 and served as Chair of Trustees from 2011 to 2017. He has played a critical role in Sabre’s development to become one of the leading international early years education NGOs today.

Sir Ian’s leadership and service to education is decades long. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Tenax Schools Trust, and recent roles include Chair of Ofqual and Oak National Academy. He has led numerous government advisory groups over the years on teacher training, languages teaching, health education and others.

Susan Place Everhart, Sabre’s CEO said; “This is an incredible honour and richly deserved. Huge congratulations to Sir Ian for all that he has achieved in education during his career. All of us at Sabre Education are indebted to him for his long commitment to Sabre’s mission, his deep generosity in sharing his expertise, and his hard work and support for over a decade.”
