Pre-service
Supporting the next generation of teachers
Sabre partners with universities and colleges to provide high-quality training in play-based teaching for student teachers. We support practical placements in local schools, set up resource centers on campuses, host workshops for the faculty in play-based teaching, and deliver workshops for student teachers on how to make low-cost classroom resources. Our goal is to ensure that student teachers qualify as highly trained, effective educators who can deliver play-based teaching in their classrooms once they graduate.
Reaching all children
New Horizons in the Private School Space
With over 30% of kindergartens in Ghana being private, children in these 12,000+ schools must receive the same quality play-based education as those in public schools. To address this, Sabre is now adapting its successful public-school teacher training model for private kindergartens. As we support government to scale public-school teacher training nationally, our goal is to eventually reach every child across the country, including those in the private school sector.
