Transforming learning environments

Putting play at the heart of kindergarten.

Sabre creates inspiring classrooms for play-based learning.

We’ve constructed 19 cutting-edge kindergarten schools, recognised by UNICEF and the Ministry of Education as some of the best in Ghana. We’re now working with the Ghana Government to develop a kindergarten design blueprint to inform future school construction across the country.

We also train teachers to transform classrooms into inspiring play-based environments, create low-cost learning resources, and set up engaging learning centers. We provide resource packs with books, blocks, play-mats, and lesson plans to make classrooms vibrant and stimulating.

What does play-based learning look like?

We use play to develop children’s literacy, numeracy, and psychosocial skills in various engaging ways.

Learning Centres

Are fun, child-centered areas like construction, shopping, and reading centers that mimic real-life situations. These spaces help children build literacy and numeracy skills while boosting their social and communication abilities through playful activities.

Table top activities

Are used each day to reinforce important literacy and numeracy skills, like matching words to pictures and counting with bottle tops.

Outdoor activities

Help to develop children’s gross motor skills, and include obstacle courses, skittles, football, water play, messy play, mark making in sand, and using clay.

Circle time

Brings the whole class together and provides opportunities for children to sing songs, dance and talk together to develop their vocabulary.

Story sharing

Concludes each day, bringing children together to focus and spark their imagination. Children also participate by sharing their own stories, using props like masks and dress-up items.

We transform learning environments to facilitate positive play-based learning.
