We are thrilled to share that Comfort Adubea, a graduate from Holy Child College of Education who completed our Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training in 2017 has been awarded the Best Teacher Prize (Kindergarten category) in her district of Bia East in the Western Region of Ghana.

This is what Comfort had to say;

“I am so grateful to Sabre Education and Holy Child College of Education for the wonderful training, that has given me confidence in teaching children.

I was posted as a Newly Qualified Teacher to Adabokrom R/C Primary “B” in Bia East District in 2017.

After setting up my classroom for teaching and learning, it started attracting people from near and far. Teachers from other schools and districts were coming in their numbers to observe how I teach and how things are done in the classroom.

Eventually my teaching attracted the Ghana Education Service education office where officers came in to encourage me to keep it up. Also as part of Sabre Educations support activities they set up a sensitisation workshop for the education officers, circuit supervisors and head teachers in Bia East and West districts at Essam Education Office of which I was actively involved.

In late 2018 I read an advertisement for the Ghana Teacher Prize (Best Teacher Awards) and completed the application. I was soon shortlisted and Ghana Education Service officers came to my classroom for a full day assessment. I was invited for an interview after the assessment and some days later I received a phone call congratulating me for my remarkable performance and also indicating to me to be rewarded as 2018 Bia East District Best Teacher – Kindergarten Category.

On Wednesday 6th March 2019, I was rewarded as such!

Thanks to everyone who in anyway supported me in winning this award.

Long live Sabre Education, long live Holy Child College of Education, long live Bia East District”

Congratulations Comfort!
