We have had a meeting with some of our parents today to get their views on the report format.  This is an important meeting as some of our parents are not literate and need a report that’s easy to interpret through a family member who can read.  We’ve had some really positive feedback from them about how they  view the programme such as ‘outside area is effectively used’. During this meeting parents were able to share their own perceptions of the programme and the effects on their wards.  Parents compared Sabre classrooms and non-Sabre classrooms favouring the positive impact of the programme and spoke of how they rivalled the activities they would expect to see in private schools in Ghana.  Parents talked about the activity based learning at the centres and outside area leading to more effective learning.
