Our Building Better Schools team are doing a fantastic job keeping to the construction schedule. Progress is on track and we are delighted to see the roof and colourful windows in place, now it is really stating to look like a kindergarten.
Key activities that have taken place since our last update in June include:
- Purlins have been fitted, these are wooden roof timbers that are laid horizontally across the roof trusses, fixed in place with a wooden wedge.
- Aluminum roofing sheets have been erected, these play a vitol role in stage one of the rainwater harvesting system.
- Window frames and coloured pivoting windows have been fitted
- Timber frame end wall is in place ready to receive the hard wood cladding.
The site team were visited this month by our Managing Director Dominic Bond, Country Director Jon Beaulieu and Group Finance Manager Cathrine Meda, who were all thrilled with the construction progress! – Ayekoo team (well done)
