OLA Kindergarten Centre of Excellence in Cape Coast, Central Region is now open. This is Ghana’s first Centre of Excellence and Sabre’s fifth Kindergarten Complex built to date.
A Centre of Excellence is a Sustainable Kindergarten Complex with a dual purpose. The three-classroom school will provide quality facilities to hundreds of four and five-year-olds and showcase an optimal learning environment to support our teacher training programme, which trains teachers in the new Ghana Education Service play-based curriculum. The Centre of Excellence classrooms are built on the grounds of OLA College of Education, meaning student teachers from the college will gain valuable practical experience in a model kindergarten classroom throughout their studies. The classrooms will also be used to host teacher training workshops.
To ensure the children and teachers could start using the school at the beginning of the new academic year, the school was opened ahead of an official inauguration ceremony, which will take place later in the school year.
