During the second Intensive Training workshop the teachers were introduced to the idea of a Talk Wall or Talk Table as a way to increase children’s vocabulary. The Talk Wall/Table is created by hanging pictures or bringing in different objects that the children are not familiar with in order to encourage conversation and the learning of new vocabulary. All of the classrooms have done an excellent job at introducing this to their classrooms and is something that the children have really enjoyed. One of our classrooms even created a Talk Box that hangs from the ceiling with a variety of objects for the children to discuss and explore. We are thrilled to see this creativity coming out more and more from our teachers, and it is clear that the children are really enjoying it to!
