Our mentees from last year are now Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and in charge of their very own classrooms. Together our training team and mentors prepared them for this exciting challenge and we are already hearing encouraging stories about the work that they are doing to introduce the programme into their new classrooms. To support this, the Brighter Futures team, along with the newly appointed Regional Kindergarten Co-ordinator Comfort Myles-Mills, have traveled, and will continue to travel, to three districts where the mentees have been placed in the Central Region in order to sensitise the Ghana Education Service staff on the programme implementation and monitoring. The meetings so far have been a great success and we are hopeful that the mentees classrooms will become an example to other kindergarten classrooms in their areas.
