At the end of last month all of the head teachers from our schools in the Western Region gathered for their last Head Teacher Forum. The key focus of this meeting was sustainability and the head teachers thought about what role they need to play in order to ensure that the programme is sustained in their schools once the training finishes in July.

For the team in Western Region, this is part of the gradual transition plan to ensure head teachers really embrace the programme in order to guide their teachers in the classroom.

It was fantastic to see head teachers sharing their ideas on how they can effectively monitor and coach the classroom teachers as well as ideas as to how they will offer their support in the implementation of the programme.

We were delighted to hear the head teachers sharing that when they look back at how the classrooms were at the start of the two year programme and compare that to what is happening in the classrooms now they are amazed and so happy with the transformation that the Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training programme has brought to their schools.

We wish the head teachers the best of luck as they continue with the programme, we are confident they will all continue to do fantastically well.
