Meet Sophie and Olivia Davies, sisters from the UK, currently volunteering in Ghana to support our projects.
Sophie and Olivia were keen to learn more about our work and to experience life in Ghana. They have been providing valuable project support and working closely with our Teacher Training Team helping to make teaching and learning materials to be used in the kindergarten classrooms.
Sophie and Olivia have been enjoying their time in Ghana and Olivia is keen to share her experience in Ghana with her school when she returns, using the images and videos she has collected.
The girls have been based in Elmina, where our Central Region Office is and have been visiting the local sites and seeing the impact of our programme first hand.
So far they have visited Kakum National Park, Hans Cottage, Elmina town and Elmina Castle. The have also enjoyed sampling the local cuisine, and whilst some dishes in Elmina town were a little spicy they’ve really enjoyed food at EliMax Spot, a local eatery which is very close to our office in Elmina and a favourite with our team.
