It’s been an exciting month in the Central Region!

On Wednesday 22nd February, a whole team from Comic Relief arrived in Elmina to visit our Central Region projects ahead of Red Nose Day at the end of March.

Staying until Friday lunch time, the team did some filming in Jacob Wilson Sey M/A Basic School in Cape Coast, showing off our excellent teachers and highlighting how much their pupils are learning since the introduction of the Fast-Track Transformational Teacher Training programme.

Our teachers and staff received lots of compliments on how bright and stimulating the kindergarten classrooms were and how well the programme could be seen to be having a positive impact on the children.

Christina Boyle, from Comic Relief, said It was wonderful to meet the Sabre Trust team and see the inspiring work they’re doing in Ghana. The staff and teachers we met were so welcoming and it was great to see students who were not only learning loads, but enjoying their lessons. Thank you so much for having us, and for being part of Red Nose Day 2017.”

The staff and pupils at the school had a great time with the film crew, and we’re all very excited to see the results at the end of March when the full film will be released!
