We are delighted to celebrate and share with you the first Teachers of the Month from the Western Region!

Again, there has been so much great work happening in the classrooms we couldn’t pick just one teacher. This month we are celebrating all of the kindergarten teachers from the Salvation Army School.

We thought Cecelia E. Minnah and Christiana Ewool from KG1 and Mavis Bosomafi and Rosemond Adjaye from KG2 all deserved to be the teachers of the month because of the hard work they are putting in place which is really reflected in their classrooms, not only in the appearance of the classrooms but also in how the children are improving. Before the introduction of the teacher training programme the children could not identify letters of the alphabet, but now they can do that, and also construct a sentence and pronounce two or three letter words.

The teachers at the Salvation Army School have been making the best use of the workshops and using them as a guide to help inspire their own initiatives and have also been inspiring the student teachers who have been posted to their classrooms.

The teachers are implementing the training well and are making fantastic teaching and learning materials to support the classroom activities.

We asked the teachers what motivated them;

‘’What keeps us going most is the passion and love we have for the children’’.

Ayekoo ladies! (Well done) Keep up the fantastic work…
