We are delighted to share our very first ‘Teacher of the Month’ for this cohort of teachers. The ‘Teacher of the Month’ post will allow us to showcase the great work that our teachers are carrying out in their classrooms. Every month we will pick a teacher who has displayed exceptional work.

Our first ‘Teacher of the Month’ is Joana Awity from Kyiase Basic School. Joana has been implementing the programme very well in her classroom and has been identified as a committed and very organized teacher. The learning materials she uses are all well packed and labeled.

Joana and the other teacher in her classroom have exhibited great team work with each other and their two student teachers. This has greatly helped their implementation of the programme in their classroom.

‘As an early childhood teacher, I strongly believe that every child has the RIGHT to quality education. The foundation a child receives at the early stages of education brings the best out of him or her. In addition, because I agree to the Chinese quote which says,’What I hear I forget, what I see I remember, what I do I understand’,  I’m committed in organising my classroom and preparing useful and adequate learning materials provided by the Sabre team. These teaching and learning materials help to facilitate both indoor and outdoor activities to achieve the set objectives. I thank my colleague and my student teachers for their support and hard work’.
