At the end of last month we were able to go on a school visit with Professor Anamuah-Mensah, a renowned educationalist in Ghana. Professor Anamuah-Mensah was the Chairman of the 2007 Educational Reforms which were responsible for bringing Kindergarten into mainstream education in Ghana and is currently the Executive Chair of Teacher Education in Sub Saharan Africa. We were therefore thrilled to be able to visit both Mpeasem A.M.E Zion and Dwabor M/A Kindergartens together. We were not the only ones excited, when we arrived at the schools the students and teachers came rushing over to greet him, he really is a living legend! The schools, as always, did not disappoint and Professor Anamuah-Mensah was amazed by what he saw. He will definitely be an excellent advocate for the programme and we cannot wait to work more with him to increase awareness of the great work that is happening in our schools.
