Akwaba, akwaba, akwaba to our 3 new iterns.  Samuel  Aboagye Owusu is an international intern, from Ghana who brings us much needed ICT skills. Tristan Gueret is an international intern of French origin who brings us summer support before he takes his next step back to third year university.  Laura Elizabeth Nutley is also an international intern, from the US who has already been in Ghana for 6 month.  She is following her dream to work in this field and is hoping to be with us for some time.  We are thrilled to welcome them all to the ever expanding team!

Samuel: “It has always been a dream to make a meaningful impact on society especially in the less privileged areas of Ghana. This has been a life long dream I share with my wife. For me, to see kids smile through learning, appreciate the full essence of education and to understand the value of education has been my major motivation.

I have joined this wonderful family on an internship program for a duration of six months. I hope to add value to this team, learn as an individual and above all, make that impact that everyone will be proud of.”

Tristan: “I wanted to do something different as an intern in a different country to gain experience and support my degree in ‘Political Economy’; most of my options have been linked to development studies. I believe in the bottom to top approach to development funding delivery and I wanted to see it in action and take part in something where implementation was working.  I really hope it will help me when I do my masters which I intend to do in ‘International Development’.”

Laura: “I studied cultural anthropology,  and it is my aspiration to learn about and study the Ghanaian culture. So far while I have lived here, I have been teaching at a primary school, and just recently began an internship with Sabre. I am hoping I can stay on permanently with Sabre.”
