- The Team: Sabre Ghana
About a year ago, I had the opportunity to partner with Sabre Education where I trained 200 teachers from 40 schools that Sabre had been working with as part of the Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training project, on Phonics and assessment. The level of commitment among Sabre trained teachers was remarkable; something I had never seen in my three years of teacher training across Ghana. As I join Sabre in July 2018, I am committed to deliver the In-service teacher Training project which will build teachers capacity to offer children in Ghana a better start in life.
Three words to describe Sabre
Children, Passion, Teamwork
Favorite Ghanaian dish
My favourite food is TZ (Tuo Zaafi)! But when I can’t get good TZ (which is made from corn and cassava flour. and eaten with green vegetable soup. It’s a popular northern dish in Ghana), red red (fried plantains and beans stew) always saves the day.
Most memorable Sabre moment
Observing a set-up for a training session in Takoradi and seeing how every member of the team was involved, making sure that everything was set for training the following day. That was real teamwork!
