The fourth and final Top Up Training of the academic year in the Central Region came to a successful end on Friday and was attended by all teachers, head teachers and Ghana Education Service officers. This workshop introduced the teachers to the next themes, ‘Plants’ for KG1 and ‘The Market’ for KG2.

The KG1 teachers and the KG2 teachers attended separate workshops. The workshops focused on increasing objectivity in observing children’s achievement and equipping teachers with strategies they will adapt to manage the implementation of the programme without the student teachers in the classroom.

The KG2 teachers in addition learnt how they will prepare for the children’s transition to Primary Year 1.

Over the next few weeks the OLA College of Education trainers will visit each classroom on the programme to provide individual coaching to help address any challenges they may be facing.
