In Class Coaching is a key part of the monitoring and support that the teachers receive during their training. During In Class Coaching the team of trainers will spend one day in each of the classrooms on the programme in order to provide individual support and find solutions to any challenges the teachers may be facing.

Last week we had a fantastic training of trainers with the new trainers to prepare them to carry out the first In Class Coaching of the year. The training helped to equip the trainers with the skills needed to help the teachers to solve the challenges they may have experienced since finishing their first Intensive Training Workshop in September.

The trainers were taken through likely situations they may come across in a mock classroom that was set up for the training. This helped the trainers to understand the type of coaching questions and modeling they will use during the In Class Coaching to help teachers to be assertive in their implementation of the new pedagogy. At the end of the training the trainers practiced all of the skills that they learnt in one of the schools on the programme, giving them a  taste of what is to come when they start the In Class Coaching over the coming weeks.

The trainers learnt a lot over the two days and we are confident that they will deliver an excellent first In Class Coaching. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates on how the trainers got on very soon.
