It has been a busy week for the Transformational Teacher Training (TTT) team with the second Intensive Training Workshop (ITW) beginning on Tuesday. The trainer preparation for this workshop began last week with a four day Training of Trainers workshop. Our training team for this ITW comprises of five OLA College of Education lecturers and three teachers who have already completed their two years of Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training. These teachers bring excellent insight to the training team as to what it is really like to implement the programme in the classrooms.

The Training of Trainers workshop ensured that each of the trainers was adequately equipped with the skills and methodology they need to successfully deliver the ITW to the participants. To do this, the trainers were taken through the scripts for each day of the ITW. Most importantly they had the opportunity to practise their delivery of the script, something that we have learnt vastly increases the quality of the training delivered. Feedback is given to the trainers after each practise session so that they are able to deliver the training to the very highest standards.

From what we have seen so far this week we believe that the Training of Trainers workshop was a great success. There has been excellent teamwork and communication which in turn leads to an enjoyable and informative ITW for each of the participants.
