Lots of exciting progress on site at Holy Child Kindergarten Centre of Excellence in Ghana’s Western Region.

The team have started on the kitchen, with the concrete ground beams foundation and damp proof membrane in place. The kitchen is an important feature of the Sabre-Arup Sustainable Kindergarten Complex design, as it enables food to be prepared onsite.

The poly tank platform is complete and ready for rain water harvesting for two of the three classrooms – KGA and KGB1.

The team began installing the termite barrier at the edges of the ground beam foundation, which prevents termites from coming into the classrooms.

Roof trusses have been erected on KGA and KGB1.

Roofing sheets have been fitted on KGB1 and blockwork forming the lower half of the classroom walls is now complete.
