Sherriff Islamic KG1 and KG2 teachers

This week we have two teachers of the week, Jessica Edusah and Dorothy Acquah, the KG1 and KG2 teachers from Sherriff Islamic School. We have chosen these teachers as over the last term we have seen an enormous transformation in their classroom behaviour management. At the start of the second term it was clear that the teachers were struggling with the behaviour of their children. With support from the Sabre team they have introduced some innovative ways to help control and prevent negative behaviour in their classrooms.

Both Dorothy and Jessica have introduced some fun ways to praise the children’s positive behaviour, such as a special crown and bracelets that the children wear and ‘sparkles’ which consist of glitter that is sprinkled over their heads when they behave well. Introducing such privileges has drastically improved the children’s behaviour as everyone wants to have a chance to wear the crown and ‘sparkles’.

We are thrilled to see that these teachers have put in so much work to improve their classroom behaviour management and it is clear that this hard work has paid off. Well done Jessica and Dorothy!
