We are thrilled to launch our new Star Teacher appreciation where we hero some of the incredible teachers transforming children’s lives across Ghana.

First up is Emelia Kodi Larjeh who is based at Aburi Presbyterian ‘A’ School in Akuapem South District. Emelia is being recognised for her dedication to making some amazing classroom resources using reclaimed and recycled materials which have really enhanced her classroom. Emelia has been teaching three themes this term which include ‘Values and Beliefs, My Local Community and My Nation Ghana’ which, because of her, the children have really embraced learning.

Congratulations, Ayekoo Emelia!

Our second Star Teacher is Philomena Donkoh, from Akropong M/A KG 2 in the Akuapem North District is being recognised for transforming her classroom into a supportive and positive learning environment for the children. Philomena has a great rapport with the children and has done a fantastic job creating indoor and outdoor activities to give them the best education possible.

The Ghana Education Service Kindergarten Coordinator in Akuapem North has even witnessed an increase in enrollment at the school.

Philomena shared that “I was an Early Childhood Coordinator at Brem North in the Eastern Region of Ghana, but now I am in the classroom and proud of it, frankly speaking I love being with the kindergarten learners and most importantly using the play-based methodology in the classroom’’.

Ayekoo Philomena, Well-done!
