We are thrilled to share our first Star Teachers of 2022!

First up is Madam Christiana Awatey, from Sakyi Agyarkwa ‘B’ Kindergarten School in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality. Christiana teaches class one, the youngest children at kindergarten, and has shown so much enthusiasm for her work. Christiana takes time to plan her lessons well, making sure that the needs of every child are met. Christiana commits lots of her own time after school closes to prepare resources and goes the extra mile by supporting children in the community too.

Christiana shared that “I am due for retirement soon and I am now beginning to enjoy my work as a kindergarten teacher and wish I didn’t have to go. I have promised the children that I will be visiting more often to assist them and the other teachers whenever necessary. This training has helped increase my love for teaching.”

Ayekoo (well done) Christiana and we wish you all the best in your retirement!

Next up are the teachers from Jumapo Methodist namely (from the left)  Celestina Acquah, Grace Asante, Faustina Akosua Kyeremaa, Josephine Sarpong and Mary Owusua. These teachers have all shown huge dedication to using the play-based teaching approach in their classrooms. They have made fantastic use of reclaimed items and local materials to enrich the classroom environment and to make fun learning resources for the children.

Celestina shared that “Through Sabre Education’s training workshops I have acquired the skills needed to teach learners in a calm and friendly way and bring out the best in each child. In addition, I am now confident to implement the Ghana Education Service’s curriculum for kindergarten with ease.’’

Ayekoo to Jumapo Methodist teachers of New Juaben North Municipal.
