In 2015 our Building Better Schools programme featured as a case study in a guidance manual on school construction using a community-based approach in hazard-prone areas, called ‘Towards Safer School Construction- A community based approach’

Save the Children visited some of our school construction sites last summer to do some filming with the site team, community members and elders to create a series of short films to accompany the guidance manual. Find out more about this visit in our blog here.

The films are now ready to share and we are delighted to be part of the case studies.  There are 5 films plus an overview, which cover the key stages required to achieve ‘A community approach to safer school construction’ – Prepare, Plan, Design, Construct and Maintain. You can view the films on the Safer School Construction website here.
