Last Friday we held an open day at our new head office at Dzorwulu in Accra. Having our head office in Accra will enable us to establish our presence there as we engage more and more with the national education reforms. It is also beneficial geographically, providing a central location to support our work in the Central, Eastern and Western regions.

The open day was a great opportunity to introduce our stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, Innovations for Poverty Action  and contractors to our head office and team based there. We also transformed part of the office into a kindergarten classroom to enable visitors to experience a typical day at the schools we work with.

Our team was on hand to introduce guests to the child centred indoor and outdoor classroom environment which featured a number of key learning centres such as the book centre, shopping centre and the construction centre. We also displayed three different table top activities with some teaching and learning resources to depict a child centred and print rich classroom.

Our guests were impressed with the engaging learning environment created for kindergarten pupils and our team enjoyed meeting everyone who came and sharing more about our Brighter Futures programme.
