To mark the end of the school year kindergartens in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District (AAK) held graduation ceremonies to celebrate the kindergarten year two pupils completing kindergarten and transitioning into primary school from September.

Kindergarten graduation ceremonies provide an opportunity to increase parental involvement in children’s education. They also bring together, parents, teachers and community leaders to celebrate children’s success upon completion of kindergarten.

The ceremonies took many days of preparations amidst classroom activities. Children showed their various skills in drama, drumming and dancing as part of the event. This year, and for the first time, almost all schools in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese district held kindergarten graduations, as part of our In-Service Teacher Training project, to the admiration of many!

Ghana Education Service Kindergarten Coordinator, Lydia Marfo said

“this year’s graduations have been awesome and the children I have seen are more enthusiastic and delighted to have it in a more unique way. Sabre has really brought much change and we are glad”

Kindergarten graduations celebrate a fantastic landmark in these children’s lives.

Congratulations to the future leaders of Ghana and we wish them luck in their next level of education.
