Before the beginning of the new school term in January the teacher training team were already hard at work delivering the second in-service (INSET) training to teachers in the Western Region. Even though this training took place during school holidays the participation by all teachers, head teachers and GES officers was excellent, and all the participants shared with the team how much they enjoyed the training. The areas the participants found most useful were classroom behaviour management, resource making using local materials and suggestions as to how they can solve the issue of over and under age children in the classroom. A lot of material was discussed in the workshop and we look forward to seeing how the teachers get on with implementing what they learnt in their classrooms.
