Taking part in the Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training programme takes a lot of commitment and dedication from our participants.  With multiple workshops and meetings to attend throughoutthe year, we know it’s not always easy for our participants to fit it into their busy schedules.

What better time than #InternationalWomensday to celebrate and show our appreciation to our Head Teacher of the month, Charlotte Asan, head teacher from Cherubim and Seraphim Primary School in Cape Coast, from whom we’ve noted continual punctuality to all events (sometimes even arriving before the training team have set up!), active participation and encouragement of her teachers to improve their classrooms.

We asked Madam Asan what motivates her to be so dedicated to the programme, and she told us “I am interested in the programme and want to learn every bit of it; I don’t want to take any chances of missing some by being late!  The programme is very educative, too, and I want to make the best out of it.  The approach was totally different to what we are used to, so I wanted to understand it all.  I want to start with you so I can end with you.  Also, I want to be able to monitor the teachers’ implementation when we come back to the school.”

Thank you Madam Asan; it’s teachers like you who really make the Fast-Track Transformational Teacher Training a success!
