Site staff sieving fine aggregate

Enabling works began at OLA College in December, starting with the levelling of the site with a bulldozer. The resident Priest was called to bless the ground before the bulldozer began, which demonstrates the importance of this moment to the management of the College.

Once the bulldozer had completed its work, the team began fencing the site with bamboo which had previously been treated at Sabre’s Training Centre. Concurrently, local contract labour was employed to begin digging the drainage swales around the site. It was also necessary for the team to make minor improvements to the security of the site store room, which has been provided free of charge by OLA.

The beginning of our construction projects always require a period of these preparation works. Now that they have been completed, the team are beginning to dig the foundations and have been preparing steel cages for the foundation beams.
