The first Best Practice Forum for this cohort of teachers was held at the end of last month in the Central Region. This Forum allows the teachers to share some of the innovative ideas being used in their classrooms with the other schools on the programme. The teachers are now coming to the end of their first year on the Fast-track Transformational Teacher Training (FTTT) programme so the Forum was an excellent time to share some of the new ideas they have come up with over the year.

There were some wonderful ideas shared, including some amazingly illustrated phonics games such as a Phonics Tree and Phonics Wheel and some other unique teacher made learning items to make the Phonics sessions more engaging for the children.

It was an excellent learning opportunity for the teachers and we are looking forward to seeing many of the ideas shared at the Best Practice Forum being used in the classrooms during the next academic year.
