Helen was born in Uganda, and educated in Uganda, Trinidad & Tobago, and the UK. In a career spanning 30 years in fundraising, Helen has helped a diversity of organisations improve their fundraising potential, from international development and aid agencies to arts and higher education institutions.  Helen has worked with Save the Children, RedR UK, Children in Crisis, and the Consortium of Street Children, and has consulted for NACRO, Help the Hospices (now Hospice UK), the British Library, Alzheimer’s Disease International, Amref Health Africa UK, and Cass Business School (now Bayes Business School).  Helen draws on her extensive fundraising experience and networks to guide and advise Sabre’s fundraising strategy. Helen visited Ghana in 2016.  Helen is also a Trustee of Starehe UK and Transaid.

Funniest Sabre moment?

Watching Dom and Aubrey attempting to ‘bust some moves’ in the Sabre 10th anniversary ‘Happy’ video!  Watching our dear leaders in that video never fails to have me in stitches! I’ll never be embarrassed on a dance floor again….
